 Characterics on Usage:

  • CM 185 is produced according to OERLIKON technology with the modern equipment and stable quality.
  • CM185 is an agglomerated Aluminate-Rutile acid type flux. Because it's low buck density, the flux consumption is lower. It can be use on either AC or DC up to 1200A. The Mn and Si contents in the weld metal will be picked up. On account of easy removal slag and good resistance to pores, it is suitable for fillet welding at high speeds up to 70m/h..
  • CM185 should be use with welding wire: EL12, EM12...for multi-wire high speed welding for low carbon steel and some low alloy steels such as: boilers, ships, pressure vessels. It is suitable for single, twin, multi-wire welding; particular it is suitable on fillet positions welding of tube-plate joints and one pass from both sides.

 Usage introduction: 

  • Re-dry at temperature over 850C. 
  • Remove dirt such as oil, slag on welding material, clean the welding area in order to avoid the impurities, foreign agent on welding flux.
  • Keep the welding wire at the dry place, tight packing avoiding dirt, wet, avoiding dirt, wet, and avoid torn packing.
